Love Without Boundaries Foundation "Born in my Heart" Art Auction 2009

The 2009 "Born in my Heart" Art Auction sponsored by Love Without Boundaries will be held April 23-28. All proceeds will be used to fund heart surgeries for Chinese orphan children. There will be items such as paintings, photography, sculpture, quilts, gift baskets, China-related books, heirlooms, and jewelry. We will provide much more information soon. Clare's Wierd Saturday Morning Breakfast!

This morning we let Clare decide what she wanted for breakfast. Here is what she chose - a banana, Chinese dumplings, and egg drop soup. Gulp!

Lunch With Brother Blake

Clare got to have lunch yesterday with her brother Blake. He was in Oklahoma City on business and we were able to get together at Buffalo Wild Wings in Edmond for lunch. Blake's best friend, Blane Smylie, also joined us for lunch and a nice visit.

Taking Care of "Smylie"

Clare and Mama have fun playing doctor with the doctor kit Clare got for Valentine's Day. They are treating "Smylie," a new stuffed animal Clare got yesterday from her brother Blake's best friend, Blane Smylie. We can report that Smylie is now feeling much better thanks to the good care he received.

The Good Doctor

Several weeks ago we took Clare to listen to our good friend Terry Phelps. Jim and Terry have been friends for nearly 40 years. Terry is an English Professor at Oklahoma City University, and is an incredibly gifted musician. He is billed as "The Good Doctor," and appears regularly at various venues around the Oklahoma City area. Thanks, Terry, for a very enjoyable evening.

Clare's First Valentines

Tonight Clare prepared her first Valentine cards for her classmates at school and for Miss Linda, her teacher. Her MeMe called while she was working and Clare got to hear her MeMe's voice and tell her she loved her.
