We have had the privilege of becoming acquainted with Wendy and Jeff Reed from Pennsylvania. They are in the process of adopting Clare's best friend, who will be named Ellie. You can see her picture in an earlier post. The Reeds have already adopted two precious daughters from China, and they have 4 biological children, including Mikayla, who is pictured above with Sarah Palin. Mikayla was born with Downs Syndrome. The Reeds attended a rally last week in York, PA, and Sarah Palin saw Mikayla and asked to hold her.
The Reeds are currently fundraising to bring Ellie home. They are doing Wii and Wii Fit raffles and are selling beautiful Chinese Christmas ornaments. You can check out their blog at http://www.babyjellybeans.com/web/do/site/home?ID=422750. The password in Ellie2009.
We will have the honor of meeting Ellie next week when Clare takes us to see the orphanage in Shantou.
